This Global Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how we collect, utilize, disclose, and safeguard the information of visitors and users as part of the Service. This Policy applies to your visits and any activities with the Sites and Services, regardless of whether you utilize Examplit's SaaS product. If you are a resident of the European Union, the European Economic Area, or Switzerland, please read our EU & Swiss Privacy Policy in addition to this one for further information about our data gathering methods and your rights.

The definitions of capitalized words not stated in this policy can be found in our Terms of Service.

By accessing and using our Service, you signify your assent to the terms of this Privacy Statement. If you disagree with or are uncomfortable with any portion of this Privacy Statement, you must immediately cease accessing or utilising our Services.



Definition of "Personal Information"


In this Policy, "Personal Information" refers to information or a set of information that directly or indirectly identifies or could be used to identify an individual. You may also, at your discretion, provide additional information such as your graduation year, the names of profiles you have opted for, social media websites, a list of your universities, the date you began using the Service, and a self-description. In addition, as you use Sites to learn, the software continuously saves your progress to the server and records information such as when you are learning, when you last logged into your account, or when you perform specific tasks.

We may also retain the contents of any messages you send to us or through the Service, and we may collect information from any user content you post or upload to the Service ("User Content").

Application integration


To facilitate the exchange of data between third-party SaaS applications, we may be required to store certain information ("App Credentials") that enables us to access these accounts on your behalf. Your App Credentials are stored in an encrypted format.

When we access these third-party applications on your behalf, they grant us access to specific data. This data will be utilised, stored, and disclosed in accordance with this Policy.

You should be aware that Examplit (examplit.com) is not liable or responsible for the privacy policies or other actions of any third-party applications for which you provide us with App Credentials.



Log file information


We collect specific technical data from visitors to our clients' websites. Internet Protocol (IP) address; the date/time a webpage or feature is accessed; the user agent string that identifies the browser or operating system to the server; installed fonts; mime-types; browser language and timezone; Silverlight data; installed plugins; HTTP headers; and screen resolution are examples of the information that our web servers log about our Service customers' site visitors.

Examplit (examplit.com) uses this information to monitor the volume of website traffic for our customers. This is done, for example, to simplify billing when a tiered pricing plan is based on the number of unique visitors to a customer's website. We also use this information for internal analysis, such as determining how many customers have published active websites using our Service. Lastly, we may use this information to create separate analytics products that we offer to customers, using non-personally identifiable information, to help customers visualise how their site is being used, track conversions, and provide additional measurement metrics.

We do not determine and are not responsible for the privacy practises or content of third-party websites or applications. We are not liable for or in control of any third parties that you grant access to your User Content. You do so at your own risk if you use a third-party website or service and grant that third-party access to your User Content.



Public forums


Our service offers blogs and community forums accessible to the general public. Any Personal Information or content that you voluntarily disclose for posting to the Service becomes accessible to the public, subject to any applicable privacy settings. If you delete content from the Service, copies may remain viewable in cached and archived pages or if other users have copied or saved the content.

Customer comments / testimonials / reviews



On occasion, we may post customer testimonials containing Personal Information on our Sites. We always obtain the customers' permission prior to publishing their names along with their testimonials.



Security of information

Examplit (examplit.com) is compliant with the EU-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shield Frameworks. We acknowledge that the Court of Justice of the European Union ruled in July 2020 that certification under the EU-India. Privacy Shield Framework can no longer serve as the basis upon which entities subject to the GDPR export Personal Information to countries whose laws have not been recognised as providing a high level of protection for the information by the European Commission. As affected customers who relied solely on our Privacy Shield certification transition to the use of Standard Contractual Clauses and other methods for transferring Personal Information to Examplit (examplit.com) in accordance with the GDPR, Examplit (examplit.com) will continue to comply with the Privacy Shield Principles with regard to such information. Choice


We manage and store data on behalf of our customers. You may choose not to submit any Personal Information via the Service, in which case we may be unable to provide you with certain services.

However, doing so may disable a significant number of the Service's features. Corrections and updates to your data


Customers may update, delete, or change the Personal Information they have provided to Examplit (examplit.com) by logging in to the Service and supplying the relevant additional information or deleting the relevant information, as applicable. Following the termination of a customer's subscription to the Service, we have established internal policies for the deletion of data from customer accounts.

Examplit (examplit.com) does not collect Personal Information from children younger than 13 years old. Please do not submit any Personal Information via our Service if you are under 13 years of age. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children's internet usage and to assist in the enforcement of our Policy by instructing their children to never provide Personal Information on our Service without their permission.
